The Fort Campbell Veterinary Center (VETCEN) provides animal care services for all active duty, as well as retired service members and reservists along with their dependents. This applies to service members living on as well as off post. All breeds of dogs are welcomed at our clinic. A variety of services are available, including wellness visits, vaccinations, micro-chipping, sick-call exams, surgeries, and health certificates. In addition to our standard small animal practice, the VETCEN also hosts the First-Year Graduate Veterinary Education Program, which brings us a new group of doctors every year. This group stays with us for the majority of the year providing extra availability for more in-depth medical cases and surgeries.

All services for privately owned animals are provided on an appointment only basis. Appointments can be made in person or over the phone. Registration of your pet is required before an appointment can be made. You may open the link to this registration page, or packets can be filled out at the clinic. Housing policy requires pets to be microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and have a negative fecal exam on file in addition to registration.

Our clinic does not provide after-hours or emergency care. We highly encourage you to develop a relationship with an off-post veterinary practice in the event that your pet requires immediate care during hours we are not available. Veterinarians reserve the right to refuse services to aggressive or uncontrolled animals. Please ensure that your pets are properly restrained (leashed or kenneled) when brought to the Veterinary Center.

Our hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (including some training holidays). The clinic closes at noon the last business day of each month for inventory.

We are located at Bldg 5289, 8th Street, Fort Campbell, Kentucky 42223  (next to CIF). Our phone number is 270-798-3614 and fax is 270-798-6026. Records and/or Registration packets may also be emailed to ftcampbellvetcen@gmail.com.

Please allow 48 hours for prescription refills.

DoD veterinary facilities now use a global electronic medical record system. This allows us to easily transfer your pet's recent medical records from one facility to another worldwide. Each facility does require their own registration. Any records from an off-post vet can be faxed or emailed so we can transcribe them onto your pet's file.

If you are PCSing overseas, we can help get your pet the necessary paperwork for travel. Most countries require an ISO-compliant (15 digit) microchip and proof of two rabies vaccinations with the original certificates signed in color ink. Many destinations, including Korea, Japan, and Hawaii, also require a blood test (FAVN) to prove rabies immunity. This test must be done weeks to months before travel. More information is available on the USDA website https://www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/pet-travel.
